 Publications, events, campaign

The European Movement website is regularly updated with new publications, new events organised locally and nationally, and new campaigns launched and in which you can take part.

Visit the appropriate pages of the website to know more about it or simply contact us at emoffice(at)emoffice.org.uk for more details.

The European Movement and the Media

Members of the Executive often take part in TV or radio news and current affairs programmes, commenting on a range of European issues. They also write articles for - or letters to - national and local newspaper as well as magazines.

Any member of the media who is looking for a European specialist should contact Anne Were at the Movement's London headquarters on 0203 176 0543.

 European Movement Speaker Service

The European Movement operates a speaker service. The speakers, whose backgrounds range from the academic to the political, will speak on and debate all aspects of European issues. They will speak, for example, on Britain's place in the EU, fiscal and monetary policy, enlargement, integration, the Common Agricultural Policy, the EU Treaties, the Constitutional Treaty, the future of Europe, etc.

If you would like to request a speaker, please download and complete the speaker request form and e-mail to anna.arki(at)euromove.org.uk

 The EuroMove 200 Club

The EuroMove 200 Club is a lottery. Members can enrol in the Club at any time so, if you are a current member of the Movement and would like to join and have a chance to win one of the cash prizes, just contact Anne Were (anne.were(at)euromove.org.uk) who will let you have a Standing Order form.

Each share will cost £5 per month, and Members can have as many shares - or 'chances at winning' - as wished, in multiples of £5, up to a maximum of £25.

Half of all the money paid in will be paid out as prize money. The other half will go to support the European Movement UK.

Only Standing Orders are acceptable because that cuts down our administration greatly and we intend to keep operating costs as low as possible. Supervised draws will be held quarterly, and winners will be sent a cheque. Numbers of prizes may vary.

Obviously, the larger the participating membership – the better the results! So, if you are not already a member of the 200 Club, please consider joining – and becoming a possible prize winner.

The EuroMove 200 Club is now up and running, with the first prize draw that took place on 20 June 2010 and subsequent draws at three monthly intervals.

The Club currently has over 230 shares, hence the first Quarterly Draw will pay prize money of more than £1,700 and the European Movement will get the same amount – which is in the region of £7,000 pa.
